Douglas Niño

Working within an approach called Agentive Semiotics, he studies the constitution of meaning in agents’ experience, its production, circulation, interpretation or consumption, and the resources involved in these processes. His research also examines applications of this approach in different fields and areas of social and cultural life.

His work connects with traditions such as phenomenology and American pragmatism, as well as specific areas within cognitive science, logic, semantics, the social sciences and the humanities.
